Introduction
• Coronaviruses are important human and animal pathogens. At
the end of 2019, a novel coronavirus was identified as the cause
of a cluster of pneumonia cases in Wuhan ,a city in Hubei
province of China.
• It rapidly spread resulting in an epidemic throughout China
followed by global pandemic.
•  Children under 6 years old do not have to have a test to travel to Spain as
per the BOE from Spanish Government in December 2020.  
• From the 7th of June 2021 International Cruises were allowed to
dock again in Spanish ports.
• Spain Risk level is currently high as the Average
National Case Level is increasing. It is currently
at 381 per 100,000 on 14th December 2021. 
• The main variants in Spain at the moment are Alfa
and Delta. Omicron Variant has been detected in
more than a dozen cases. 
• Most people will get their result within 2 days, but
it can take longer. If you have symptoms of
COVID-19 or had a positive antigen test, self-
isolate (stay in your room) while you wait for your
result.

• In order to be allowed to pass through Spanish border control,
international travelers must have a certificate to prove that they
took one of the above tests and that the result was negative.
• The certificate must be in one of the following language

Facing the increasing unemployment:-
• Some relevant measures:

• In response to the lockdown and crisis caused by coronavirus,
some really quick modifications were implemented by INE-Spain:
•Face to face interviews were replaced by telephone interviews or
web channels.
•New data sources such as advanced fiscal and administrative
registers, credit cards were incorporated.
•Good and timely communication: press releases on statistics
includes new sections to explain the impact of the pandemic.
•New section on Covid-19 data was launched on the INE website.
•The preannounced calendar of statistics has been fully observed,
in spite of the Covid-19.
•The European Statistical System agreed on common guidelines to
reflect the impact of Covid-19 in a harmonised and comparable way.
Treatments
• Asymptomatic cases, mild cases of COVID-19:
• Isolate yourself in a well ventilated room.
• Use a triple layer medical mask, discard mask after 8 hours of use or earlier
if they become wet or visibly soiled. In the event of a caregiver entering the
room, both caregiver and patient may consider using N 95 mask.
• Mask should be discarded only after disinfecting it with 1% Sodium
Hypochlorite.
• Take rest and drink a lot of fluids to maintain adequate hydration.
• Follow respiratory etiquettes at all times.
• Frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 40 seconds or
clean with alcohol-based sanitizer.
• Don’t share personal items with other people in the household.
