 ABSTRACT

In the modern day, in the current Covid-19 situation, it is most important that a
person who is suffering from covid-19 gets his/her treatment as soon as possible for
faster recovery. And the person should be treated irrespective of recommendation (that
is first come first serve). If there is a V.I.P, the hospital should allocate some specific
rooms for them, if not the common people can use those rooms. We are designing a
web page for “Slot booking system in Hospitals” where any person can check if there
are un-booked room/rooms using the concepts of HTML, CSS, Java-script, NodeJS,
Express etc. Different slots are allocated for patients, patients can choose the timings
and the doctor they want to consult. This helps the patients a lot in Covid-19 situation.

AIM OF THE PROJECT
• The main aim of the project is to Check Availability of Slots in the hospital and
easy booking of appointment in convenient timings

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

• The Scope of the project to create a hospital website, it is one of the crucial
domains in the online and offline world.
• No more long waiting calls to get an appointment from a doctor.
• With the help of this website appoint bookings are at your fingertip with
information of doctor availability and timings.

 The need for healthcare services is growing with increase in the
population and the number of patients who seek health care at hospitals,
medical facilities, holistic groups, and physicians practice has improved
significantly.
These bring a new set of challenges for the staff of the facility and
administrators. Online scheduling software, a recent technological
advancement, has made the booking process in hospitals easier for both
patients and administrative staffs.

 The hospital website is developing using NodeJS, EJS, HTML5 and CSS3
technology. Any consumer can book an appointment of their respective slot
choice, with his information such as his user name and password. If the login
does not go through, the user can re-register or may ask to change the
password. After login, the user can see the doctors and choose their respective
slot. The administrator can verify the slot, however the consumer can still look at
the appointment in his or her account. The ordered price is saved in the database
and sent as a mail to the user.
