COMPLEX NUMBERS
1.DIFINATION
- A complex number is a number that can be expressed in the form
of a+bi , where a and b are real numbers and I is a symbol called
imaginary unit, and satisfying the equation . Because no real number
satisfies this equation.
Addition and, Subtraction of Complex Numbers
For two complex numbers
z1 = a + ib and z2= c+ id
we have,
z1+z2= (a + ib) +(c + id)
=(a +c) +I(b + d)
We have,
z1-z2= (a + ib)-(c + id)
=(a -c) +I(b -d)

  Properties of Addition of Complex Numbers

1. Closure law:- Adding two complex numbers results in another complex number. (z1+z2)
2. Commutative Law :- z1+z2= z1+z2
3.Associative law :- (z1+z2)+z3=z1(z2+z3)
4. Additive identity:- Z+0=Z
5.Additive inverse :- Z+(-Z)=0
Multiplication of complex Numbers
For two complex numbers
z1 = a + ib and z2= c+ id
we have,
z1.z2= (a + ib)(c + id)
=(ac-bd) +I(ab + bc)

Properties Of multiplication Of Complex Numbers

1.Closure Law:- Product of any two complex number is always a complex number.
2. Commutative Law :- z1.z2= z1.z2
3.Associative law :- z1 (z2z3) =(z1z2) z3
4.Distributive law :- z1 (z2z3)= z1.z2+ z1z3
