Covid – 19 (Corona Virus Disease - 19) are a
large family of viruses that cause disease in
human and animals. In humans, it usually
causes respiratory tract infections, ranging
from the common cold to serious illness such
as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS)
and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome
(SARS).

To confirm the diagnosis, examinations
such as :
• Rapid test, to detect antibodies produced by teh body
in fighting the Corona virus.

• Rapid antigen test, to detect antigens, namely proteins


that are on the outside of the virus.

• Swab test or PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test, to


detect the Corona virus in the lining of the nose.

• CT scan or chest X-ray, to detect infiltrates or fluid in


the lungs.

• Complete blood test, to check the levels of white blood


cells and C-reactive protein.
Prevention
✢ Apply physical distancing
✢ Use a mask when you are active in public or crowded places.
✢ Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or a hand
sanitizier.
✢ Don’t touch your eyes, mouth and nose before washing your
hands.
✢ Increase endurance by living a healthy lifestyle.
✢ Avoid contact with people with COVID-19.
✢ Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or
sneeze.
✢ Keep the environment clean and clean the house.
