Businesses: What they are;
the role that businesses play in Canada;
the people who create businesses,
the planning of businesses,
ways that they can be organized
the role of finance in helping them grow.
Entry course for students in BBA Program

characteristics of a “business”

 Products: The goods and services that


people need and want, their features and
characteristics

 Factors of production: The raw material


from which every business is made
