Vocabulary Activity 1: ‘Toss Your Senses ’


1. Prepare a soft ball to toss around the classroom.
2. Have students think of the things they drew in their ‘My Senses’ worksheet. Stu-
dents can think of any object they would like.
3. The teacher holds the ball and starts by saying, “I have five senses. I see students.”
4. Toss the ball to a student who catches the ball and says one of the senses using the
language frame below.
5. Then Student 1 should toss it to another student to continue the activity.
