Background
Infrastructure development in Indonesia is the second
priority after education. This proves that construction
activities are expected to continue to grow in line with
developments in Indonesia. The implementation of

wood concrete. Therefore, innovations are needed that
can replace wood for concrete formwork so that it can
provide non-recyclable wood waste.

The ratio of Hepiyanto and Mohammad Arif Firdaus
(2019) examined the use of corn cob ash in substituting
cement. From the research it was concluded that the use
of corn cob ash as much as 8% can increase the
compressive strength of concrete by 54.9%.

Compressive Strength Test


Figure shows the compressive strength of concrete using the Universal Testing
Machine (UTM) and Compression Testing Machine (CTM). The test was carried out
using a cube specimen measuring 50 x 50 x 50 mm and a cylinder with a size of 100 x
200 mm which were fabricated at the time of casting.

Installation and How it Works


In its use, Permanent Formwork does not need to be dismantled so that it can
contribute to increasing the capacity of the structure. The installation of this
product:
• Permanent Formwork is casted first and cured for 28 days.

Benefits for Users


The creation of this product is certainly a new beginning for
the construction industry in Indonesia. Not only does it
provide benefits for building owners by minimizing the use
of costs, this product is also able to have a positive impact
on workers because it facilitates and speeds up the

CONCLUSION
Based on the results of the activities, the following
conclusions were obtained:
• From the test data, Permanent Formwork has a fairly high
strength, namely an average of 12.2 MPa, where this high
compressive strength can play a role in carrying dead loads,
reinforcement, and concrete.

• From the test data on normal concrete, it shows that the average
compressive strength of normal concrete is 32.5 MPa, so this
"Permanent Mold" is able to effectively increase the strength of
structural elements where the strength is almost half the strength
of normal concrete.
• The use of Permanent Formwork can also reduce the number of
cracks in the beam. This is the effect of the use of palm fiber
which can inhibit the rate of crack development.
