Noun Singular and Plural forms

 Plural form

• Uncountable nouns are for the things that we cannot

count with numbers. Uncountable nouns are substances,
concepts etc. that we cannot divide into separate
elements. They may be the names for abstract ideas or
qualities or for physical objects that are too small or too
amorphous to be counted (liquids, powders, gases, etc.).
Uncountable nouns are used with a singular verb. They
usually do not have a plural form. We cannot "count" tat
thing. For example, we cannot count "milk". We can count
"bottles of milk" or "litters of milk", but we cannot count
"milk" itself.
 EXAMPLE

We usually treat uncountable nouns as singular.

We use a singular verb. For example:
• This news is very important.
• Your luggage looks heavy.
