 UP MILLING
•Feed direction of the work piece is
opposite to that of cutter rotation.
•Each tooth of the cutter starts the
cut with zero depth of cut and
gradually increases to the maximum
value at the end of cut.
 Requires more clamping force.
•Surface finish is poor – poor chip
disposal.
