What Do We Mean by Quality Education

 Quality =effectiveness or efficiency. The quality of

the educational process experienced by students.

 Quality education is important for a variety of

reasons.
 First, it ensures that all students receive the same
level of education.
 Second, the quality of the educational process
must be constantly improving.
 Finally, the content of the curriculum should be
relevant and updated regularly.
Definition by VVOB’s
A quality education provides individuals with the skills and knowledge needed
to be successful in their chosen field, whether that be economically, socially,
or otherwise. The type of learning outcomes required vary depending on the
context, but at a minimum, literacy and numeracy skills, basic scientific
knowledge, and life skills should be included.
Brief Meaning Of Quality Education
A quality education is important to
support a rights-based approach to
education. All educational endeavors
should uphold human rights, and quality
education can help ensure that all
students have access to their rights.

A quality education must include all four

pillars of learning: knowing, doing, living
together and being. When these pillars
are integrated into the curriculum,
students will be best prepared for
success in school and life. (Delors, et al.,
1996)
UNESCO’s Conceptualization of Quality Education

The quality of education is the first importance of

UNESCO.

CONFERENCE of the Ministerial Round Table on the

Quality of Education held in Paris in 2003.

UNESCO promotes access to quality education as a

human right.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural

Organization (UNESCO) reported in 2010 that 30 percent of
Pakistan's population lives in a state of "extreme educational
poverty" — receiving less than two years of education. (Pigozzi,
2004)
Quality According to United Nations

Access to Education for sustainable

Quality development according to the United

Nations (UN), has four main goals;

Education
these are:
 Improving and promoting basic
education,
 Changing existing education
programs at all levels to talk about
sustainable development,
 Making the general public more
aware of what sustainability is
 And lastly providing training.
AMET,
Access To Quality Education
 However, simply increasing the
number of people who are literate
according to current standards will
not be enough to create sustainable
societies.
 Indeed, if communities and nations
hope to make progress towards
sustainability goals, they must focus
on knowledge, skills, values and
perspectives that encourage and
support public participation and
community decision-making.
Access to Quality Education

 To achieve this, basic education must be reoriented to

address sustainability and expanded to include critical
thinking skills, skills to organize and interpret data and
information.
 Basic education must also include the ability to analyze
issues that confront communities and should enable
individuals to make lifestyle choices.
Don’t Only Be
Educated , Also
Learn!

 The world is always changing, which means that

new laws, ideas, and problems are always popping
up.
 It can be difficult to keep up with the constant
evolution, but it's important to try.
 If we don't learn as we go, then we'll quickly fall
behind and won't be able to keep up with the
demands of the modern world.
Don’t Only Be Educated , Also Learn!
 It can be dangerous to get into a rut, whereby
we continue tocarry out our duties in much the
same way as we have donein the past.
Expectations change over time and if we do
notadapt to the new circumstances, then we
will be steadily moreout of tune with what is
required of us.It is therefore important that we
enter into the process of
 what I want to refer to as “Continuous
Educational Advancement”(CEA for short)
Don’t Only Be Educated ,
Also Learn!

 To me, CEA is more than just nonstop training.

 It's about being clear about what's expected of us at work,

so We can provide quality care while also staying up to date
on new threats to our environment, health, and values.

 It's also about making sure we have the knowledge and

skills needed to do our jobs correctly and filling in any gaps
in our knowledge base and skill set as they become
apparent.
