WHAT IS A CUSTOMIZED
SOFTWARE?

A customized software is a software that is specially developed for some


specific organization or another user.  Customized software is typically
created just for these specific users by a third-party or in-house group of
developers and is not packaged for resale.
THE MAIN PURPOSE OF CUSTOMIZED
SOFTWARE

• Customized software is a design system that fulfills the specific


need(s) of the organization. It’s main purpose is to specifically address
these specific users' needs better than more traditional and
widespread off-the-shelf software.
EXAMPLES OF CUSTOMIZED SOFTWARE

Content management systems (CMS) – used for creating websites.


Customer relationship management (CRM) – used for managing all
relationship and interaction among business or other organization
administrators and customers.
A business process automation system – used to automate day-to-day
tasks in a business.
Automated invoicing – used to schedule invoices in advance, which is
to be issued automatically at a specified date and time.

Company-facing / Customer-facing web portals – used to provide


customers with a single point of access to company information that is
relevant to them.
E-commerce software solutions – used to assist a company in
conducting business electronically.
Bug tracking software - software application which is used to keep
track of reported software bugs in software development projects.
