Definition of Unnatural Hazard
Types of Unnatural Hazards
Examples of Unnatural Hazards
OVERVIEW OF PH HAZARDS
As new technology develops, humans find a way to
make things tragic with unforeseen accidents or
mistakes which make disasters. Due to lack of safety
compliances, unnatural hazards commonly occur in our
capitals.
DEFINITION OF
UNNATURAL HAZARDS
Unnatural Hazards, also known as man-made hazards
are different from natural hazards because they are
caused by some human interaction; whether human
induced intentionally or caused simply from an accident
from something humans built.
INDUSTRIAL.
A potential danger of releasing
of hazardous materials that
usually occur in the commercial
or industrial field due to
negligence in human facilitation.

(1) iron and steel from ore,
(2) lumber from trees,
(3) gasoline and other fuels from crude oil, and
(4) stone from quarries.

• Started during the industrial revolution in 1800’s with the rapid economic
development, technological innovation and social change which resulted
to negligence of environmental effect which leads to industrial pollution.
• According to a research industrial pollution are directly connected to
industrial manufacturing whether it is a small scale or large scale.

Toxic Chemical Gases

Industrial Facilities is one of the main causes of toxic gases being released to our environment.

Exposure to a toxic substance can greatly affect the health of every living thing.

Rodrigo Duterte was elected in his position in the
Philippines. The motives of EJK in the Philippines
can be political or not political as people with
money can pay someone to kill somebody.

POOR MADE INFRASTRUCTURES.
INFRASTRUCTURES.
Hazards may happen due to wrong
material of infrastructures.
Disrupting infrastructure will directly
result in the luxation of the social–
economic chain and then destroy
the upstream and downstream
industry development.
CIVIL DISORDER.
activity arising from a mass act of civil
disobedience (such as a
demonstration, riot, or strike) in which
the participants become hostile toward
authority, and authorities incur
difficulties in maintaining public safety
and order, over the disorderly crowd.
FIRE.
Any actions, materials, or conditions that might increase the size
or severity of a fire or that might cause a fire to start are called fire
hazards. The hazard might be a fuel that is easy to ignite or a heat
source like a defective appliance. The hazard could be an action like
thawing a pipe with a torch or an omission like failing to have a
wood stove chimney cleaned. Common fire hazards are found in
most occupancies and are not associated with any special
occupancy. Smoking, trash, electrical appliances, storage, and
heating are common to most occupancy types.
IMPROPER WASTE DISPOSAL.
the disposal of waste in a
way that has negative
consequences for the
environment. Examples
include littering, hazardous
waste that is dumped into the
ground, and not recycling
items that should be recycled.
NUCLEAR MELTDOWN.
considered very serious because of the potential for
radioactive materials to breach all containment and
escape (or be released) into the environment,
resulting in radioactive contamination and fallout,
and potentially leading to radiation poisoning of
people and animals nearby.
