"Ethics and equity and the principles of justice do not change
with the calendar."
Introduction

Ethics is important to every society as it plays a critical role in shaping

the individual behavior within a society. Since the dawn of human
civilization, men have sought to keep human conduct in check to
preserve the peace of society. Where written law is used to govern
official businesses and happenings, ethics act as a self-governing system
to keep human self-interest and the good of society at equilibrium
because the eyes of the law are not always available.

Conclusion

Ethical employee relationships are essential to the smooth operation of a

business. That means keeping unhealthy levels of competition and
personal relationships between employees out of the work place, while
providing an environment where employees feel they are treated equally
and fairly. Promoting ethical work relationships in the business can be
encouraged through staff meetings that discuss issues such as gossip
among employees and the consequences involved.
