Caffeine is known as a natural stimulant
found in tea, coffee, and cocoa, and it works
by stimulating the brain and central nervous
system, helping a person stay alert and
prevent symptoms of fatigue. When caffeine
is consumed, it is quickly absorbed from the
intestines into the bloodstream, and from
there it travels to the liver and is divided
into compounds that affect the function of
various organs, but its main effect is on the
brain,
It is recommended to consume 200 to 300
milligrams per day of caffeine, equivalent
to two to four cups of coffee, to avoid any
side effects in case of excessive coffee
consumption.
The following are the most important of
these effects:
Restlessness: Difficulty in relaxing and
calming oneself.

moodiness. Insomnia. Problems with the organ system,

Decaffeination using indirect dissolution
(chemical)

In this method, coffee is boiled in

water for several hours until it loses a
large part of its taste, oils and
chemical compounds, and then the
coffee is filtered from the water and
the water is kept aside.
After that, the coffee is placed in a chemical solution,
whether “methylene chloride or ethyl acetate” for ten
hours until the components of the solution bind with the
caffeine atoms, and then the solution is heated to
evaporate the solution with caffeine.

After that, the decaffeinated coffee beans are taken and

returned to fermentation in the water solution that
preceded the decaffeination process, which contains coffee
oils and some flavors in order for the coffee to absorb some
of the flavors it had previously lost!

This method is old and famous in Europe and Germany in

particular, and one of its shortcomings is the coffee’s loss
of taste, texture and overtones.
