Prime Factor Decomposition

7
The prime factor decomposition

When we write a number as a product of prime factors it

is called the Prime Factor Decomposition.

For example,

The prime factor decomposition of 100 is:

100 = 2 × 2 × 5 × 5
= 22 × 52

There are 2 methods of finding the prime factor decomposition

of a number.
