Exhaust Port Locations

• IMPORTANT – Do not sample from the exhaust

collector.
• There are no set positions to take samples. These are
only guidelines. The minimum EPA longitudinal
sample port locations are…
• Two stack diameters downstream from transitions or
bends.
• One stack diameter upstream from the stack exit plane.
• In some situations, the only way to locate the sample
port is accessibility and common sense.
 Cal gas kits
The standard Solar kit will consist of 4 calibration gases – CO, NO,
NO2 & N2.
