Introduction
In the presentation that happens it will be shown a little about everything
we saw during the subject since due to what we have been taught we
were able to do this work so that we can be better international traders

Customs Valuation

In Nuevo León, Mexico a kilo of apple costs $ 77.78 Mexican pesos if we take this into account we can
determine that the ton of apple would cost us a total of $ 77,780 Mexican pesos if we take that into
consideration we can determine that the 10 tons of we are importing give us a total of $ 777,800
Mexican pesos, this clear only for the product

TONELADAS PRECIO TOTAL MXN TOTAL DLLRS

10 $ 777,800.00 $ 777,800.00 $ 37,858.64
To bring all this product it will be necessary to arrive by plane since otherwise we could spoil the
product which would cause catastrophic losses for the company in addition to this we must know
what is the best packaging for this type of perishable food so that we can get it right, in this case
we will use cardboard boxes which help reduce humidity so that we can keep the product fresh.

As mentioned above we must look for what are the requirements to be able to successfully bring
the product in this case we must consider the gross weight and the volumetric weight in order to
know how much it will cost us to bring the apple

PESO BRUTO PESO VOLUMETRICO

10,000kg 25kg por unidad
In addition to this we indicate that we already have the necessary
equipment to be able to move the merchandise from the Airport to our
warehouse, we have 3 trucks capable of supporting 4 tons having
these along with the import cost of $ 200,000 Mexican pesos

Once this is finished we can deduce that the total cost in Mexican
pesos and dollars is:

Costo en MXN Costo en Dlrs

$ 977,800.00 $ 47,593.44
Import Taxes and Conclusion

A. Application
1. On August 14, 2014, the Regional Agricultural Union of Fruit Growers of the State of
Chihuahua, A.C. (the "UNIFRUT" or the "Applicant"), submitted the request for the initiation of
the administrative investigation for unfair international trade practices, in the form of price
discrimination, on imports of apples, originating in the United States of America ("United
States"), regardless of the country of origin.
B. Initiation of the investigation
2. On 4 December 2014, the Decision initiating the anti-dumping investigation (the
"Initiation Decision") was published in the Official Journal of the Federation (DOF). The
period of investigation was set as from 1 January to 31 December 2013 and as the
period of analysis of injury to the domestic industry from 1 January 2011 to 31 December
2013.

C. Product under investigation
1. Overview
3. The generic and commercial name of the subject matter is apples. Its physical characteristics and
composition result mainly from color, skin, shape, size, pulp color, texture and taste. Likewise, the
merchandise investigated can be red, yellow, green, pink and combinations of these; smooth, shiny or
striped skin; sweet, sweet-acidulated, bittersweet or sour taste; small, medium or large in size; and different
types of textures: juicy, firm, crunchy, etc., as well as different varieties: Conclusion, red, gala, rome,
starking, top red and red chief, among others.
2. Tariff treatment
4. Apples enter through tariff item 0808.10.01 of the Tariff of the General Import and Export Tax Law
(TIGIE), whose description is as follows:
5. The unit of measurement in commercial and import operations is the kilogram.
6. Based on siavi information, imports of apples entering through tariff item 0808.10.01 of the
TIGIE are subject to a 20% tariff. Imports originating in countries with which Mexico has concluded
free trade agreements are exempt from tariffs.
7. Based on information obtained from the Mexican Trade Information System (SIC-M), tariff item
0808.10.01 of the TIGIE is a specific fraction through which only apples enter. However, during the
period analyzed, merchandise other than apples entered, which represented 0.04% of the total
volume imported.
3. Technical standards
8. The Mexican standard applicable to apples is NMX-FF-061-SCFI-2003. "Non-
industrialized agricultural products for human consumption – fresh fruit – apple (Malus
pumila Mill) – (Malus domestica Borkh) â specifications".
4. Production process and inputs
9. The agricultural production cycle of the apple is labor-intensive throughout the year and ends with the
harvest of 100% of the production, in the months of August to October. The production process of the apple
is as follows:
to.     begins in winter, either with the planting of trees that after 3 to 5 years will begin their productive stage
or with the pruning of them;
b.    in the spring, the flowering and pollination stage occurs, in which the trees must be protected from
possible frosts, in addition to chemical and manual thinning along with fertilization;
c. in summer, which is the stage of fruit growth, intensive irrigation and fertilization are continued,
considering additional protection derived from possible hailstorms;
d. in autumn, the harvest is carried out which is carried out manually and placed in selection of bags, and
and.     finally, it is moved to refrigerated rooms so that it has a post-harvest chemical treatment and then
stored to be labeled and packed in a box for sale (washed, waxed and classified by size, color, etc.), where
it is temporarily stored again in cold rooms to stop the maturation process.
10. The main inputs used for the production of the goods under analysis are the following: labour, water,
land and chemicals, e.g. fertilizers, pesticides and fuel.
5. Uses and Functions
11. Apples are mainly used as food, as well as in the preparation of various foods, for example, ciders,
juices, salads, jams and juices.
D. Call and notifications
12. By means of the Initiating Decision, the Secretariat summoned the importers and exporters of the product
under investigation and any person who considered to have a legal interest in the outcome of the
investigation to appear to present the arguments and evidence they considered relevant.
13. On the basis of Articles 6.1 and 6.1.3 of the Agreement on Implementation of Article VI of the General
Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994 (the "Anti-Dumping Agreement"), 53 of the Foreign Trade Act (LCE) and
142 of the Regulations of the Foreign Trade Act (RLCE), the Secretariat notified the Initiation of the anti-
dumping investigation to the Applicant, importers and exporters of which he became aware and to the
government of the United States. With the notification, they were sent the public version of the request for
initiation, the response to prevention and its respective annexes, as well as the official investigation forms, in
order to formulate their defense.
Means of transport to be used
The means of transport that we will use will be by means of Airplane since the element
that we are importing is a perishable food so we must make sure that it arrives in good
condition, along with this with what we showed above about how the packaging will be
we can make sure that they arrived in good condition, once they arrive at the airport
where they will be received there will be a truck capable of loading more than a ton with
the which will move the product to the warehouses where it will later be delivered to
greengrocers and supermarkets where the product will be sold

Production
The apple as a product is produced in several tons being in China but due to the large
number of apples that export a specific amount must be assigned to all buyers, the
specific quantity produced is 44.4 million of which export most to European countries, it
is also why the product would be a success in Mexican stores since it is a product that is
seen little inside of our market, it would be for the same reason that the price of the
product would be a little higher than the usual apple in Mexico at the moment.

DDP Delivered Duty Paid

The transport services that will be used were already mentioned above, in this
case it will be a truck capable of loading more than 1 ton and an airplane
Types of storage

By Location or Level of Protection
This classification is divided into 2 types of warehouses, and your selection will depend on the
characteristics of the product and the degree of environmental protection you need.
Covered storage
It is the one that offers the greatest protection by being able to control certain factors or climatic variables such
as lighting, humidity and temperature, in order to keep in good condition and prolong the useful life of the
protected merchandise. These warehouses are manufactured with resistant materials such as brick, cement,
metal panels and even specialized canvases to preserve the temperature.
Uncovered storage
As its name describes, it is outdoor storage and without any specific control other than its safety, being used for
any material or product that is not affected by environmental factors. For the most part, these spaces are
usually delimited by tarpaulins, fences, bars and/or reflective tapes.

Once we have determined which with all the types in which our product
enters we can determine that through the storage that is handled from the
beginning that has also been seen in previous projects

*This is the type of container that was planned for the import of the product *Along with these wooden pallets is that you can import the apple keeping in order the process of the Conclusion
Conclusion
Throughout this semester we were seeing about what our future life as
international traders would be and the steps we must follow to be able to
move goods around the world, in addition to this a certain price which we
know in order to keep in mind how much we must strive to achieve those
that we propose
