 ThePresident of India launched Impact India on


October 2nd 1983 as a “National Plan of Action”
against avoidable disablement
 The
launch had the support of UNDP, WHO and
UNICEF
 Impact India Foundation is a Charitable Trust
registered (E-9792) with the Charity Commissioner
Bombay since 16th March 1984.

Impact India’s Lifeline Express (LLE)
 Launched in 1991
 Takes quality health services free of cost to the disabled poor in rural
India where it parks for about a month at a rural location
 Serves around 8000+ beneficiaries at each location
 Specially designed A/c coaches that house full-fledged hospital
equipment, two operating theatres with five operating tables
 Doctors, medical professionals and volunteers cater to the patients
 The train provides on-the-spot diagnostic, medical & surgical
treatment

 Dental Scaling, Filling, Extraction
 To measure BP & Random Sugar for NCD awareness
