INTRODUCTION
• Antenna is a metallic structure that captures and/or transmit radio EM waves
• Microstrip patch antennas when compared with conventional antennas, they have more
advantages and better prospects.

low cost,

lighter weight,

mechanically effective,

being easy to manufacture, and

high performance over a large spectrum of frequencies.

MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA

Problem Statement
Some of the common limitations of micro strip patch
Antenna for satellite communications are
• Low effiency
• Narrow Bandwidth
• Low gain
MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA
SOLUTIONS
 Array configurations

 Fractal patches
MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA
 STACKING TECHNIQUE

 Using low dielectric substrate (r value less than 2)

 Increasing the thickness of dielectric substrate

 Aperture feed coupling

 Improving the impendence matching

 Employing slots in the geometry of antenna

 Use of multiple resonators

MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA

AIMS & objective

To design a novel micro strip antenna for Satellite Communication.
To improve gain of the designed.

To shrink overall size of the antenna.

To enhance the operating bandwidth.
To increase maximum efficiency.
Trying to achieve higher data rates.
Simulation and optimizing of the designed antenna.
To test the results.

PROJECT ENVIRONMENT
we will use CST known as Computer Simulation Technology software
due to the fact that it is user friendly and the results are calculated
much thoroughly and we get better result.
