In psychology,
attitude is a
psychological
construct, a mental
and emotional entity
that inheres in or
characterizes a
person.
Components
- Affective Component 

- Behavioral Component 

- Cognitive Component 
Functions
Daniel Katz classified attitudes into four different groups
based on their functions

● Utilitarian : provides us with general approach or


avoidance tendencies
● Knowledge : help people organize and interpret new
information
● Ego-defensive : attitudes can help people protect their
self-esteem
● Value-expressive : used to express central values or
beliefs

Conclusion
A persons attitude can be
positive, or negative
views. There is no such
thing like ideal attitude,
for a particular situation
as it is spontaneous and
so we always have a
choice to opt the right
attitude for us.
