Background of the study
 COVID-19 is expected to have a substantial impact on
psychology and mental health, and it may affect a
disproportionate number of people, with adolescents being the
most vulnerable.
 Rejection, bullying, or loneliness have all been related to mental
health issues like sadness, rage, fear, tension, and anxiety.
 A pandemic is not just a medical phenomenon also it affects
individuals and society and it causes depression, anxiety, and
stress.
 Quarantine and self-isolation can most likely cause a negative
impact on one's mental health. To overcome this, measures at
the individuals and societal levels are required. (Bilal et.al,2020)
Statement of the problem
The goal of this study is to determine the effect of COVID-19
towards the mental health of a student. The study's goal
was to find answers to the following questions:
1. What are the factors that contributes to have poor
mental health?
2. What are the effects of COVID-19 towards mental
health?
3. What are the interventions used by the teachers to
improve the student’s mental health?
Significance of the study
 The community will benefit from this research because
they will be aware of the detrimental repercussions of
mental illness during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 Teachers and administrators will benefit from this research
because they will be able to grasp the risk and protective
factors connected with mental health.
 This study's findings could be beneficial to everyone's
mental health.
 This research could help people who are dealing with
mental health concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Scope and Delimitation of the study
 This study focuses on the effects of COVID-19 pandemic
towards the mental health of a student.
 The age range of the participants will be seventeen (17)
years old and above.
 Survey questionnaires will be utilized to gather information.
 Other issues that aren't considered stresses or depressants
will not be covered in this study.
 The time constraint, which limits the researchers' ability to
conduct the investigation, is one of the study's shortcomings.
 The participant's identity, as well as information about the
participant's personal life, is kept private, and the
researchers believe this to be one of the study's drawbacks.

This study will focus on the Effects of COVID-19 Pandemic
towards the Mental Health of the students in Baybay City Senior
High School. Thus, it is dependent from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Factors affecting the Mental Health of the students may
intervene the effect of COVID-19 towards the mental health of
the students.
 
Research Design
 To determine what are the factors that contributes to a poor
mental health.

The Sample

 Includes questions regarding the factors that contributes to
a poor mental health

Data Collection Procedure


 The researchers will follow a survey procedure with guide
questions
Data Analysis Procedure
 The researchers will use descriptive statistics in analyzing and
interpreting the data
 Ethical Consideration
 Confidentiality of the responses will be maintained to ensure
that their data is safe.
