 1. What’s Research?

- The word research is composed of two syllables, re and search. re

means again, and search is a verb meaning to examine closely and
carefully, to test and try. Together they mean a careful, systematic,
patient study and investigation in some field of knowledge,
undertaken to establish facts or principles."
- Research is a process of systematic inquiry that entails collection of
data; documentation of critical information; and analysis and
interpretation of that data/information, in accordance with suitable
methodologies set by specific professional fields and academic
disciplines.

Research Methods
They are the methods by which a
researcher conducts research into a
subject or a topic.
- Involves conduct of experiments, tests,
surveys,….
Research Methodology
It is the way in which research problems
are solved systematically.
It is also the science of studying how
research is conducted scientifically.
- Involves the learning of the various
techniques that can be used in the
conduct of research and in the conduct
of tests, experiments, surveys and
critical studies.

- Helps in having a proper understanding of the subject
- Assists in finding, gauging, and seizing opportunities
