The boy was passing by when he saw that there was a lot of people in the school library. He went to see what the people were there for. It was something amusing to his sight. He saw his favorite international basketball star reading stories to children, and while he struggled to inch his way near the celebrity, his heart pounded in excitement, as he thought of seeing him up close, and maybe shaking hands and having picture with him. It was not long when he was already there, in front of him. And he could only tell himself that wishes really come true. 2. It is well known that Korea’s traditional morality has been strongly influenced by Confucianism centered around the family. On the other hand, today’s Korean students has the preconceived notion that Confucian moral philosophy is “obsolete” and that the family-first trend should also be drastically revised. However, our survey on the student’s moral view unexpectedly shows that he is conservative and that he is actually not so far away from the traditional moral views of Confucianism as he thinks he is. The Korean student agrees in principle that he should uphold filial duties and he does not dare to deny parental merits or his duty to support his parents in their old age. Under the new amendments, employment contracts
must cover a defined term, which can be renewed subject to an agreement by both parties to a contractual relationship. The law does not set a cap on that term period.
The amendment aims to protect both parties in a
balanced way; advances the labour market’s growth and stability; and enhances the UAE’s economic competitiveness. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, said: “The UAE Government continues to develop regulations and laws that align with what the next 50 years of UAE’s development demand. The laws and regulations support our business environment’s stability and improve its resiliency and attractiveness. The regulations follow the UAE’s advanced developmental model, and its fundamentals and principles that are built on justice, respecting human rights and staying ahead of changes. This guarantees the UAE’s continued progress, stability and pioneering stature.” Trying harder: Choose one text type and make a sample about it.
