Discusion
• Based on our conducted product making, we failed to create the product
because there are a lot of things that we could not figure out and cannot
do. During the first try, we did not melt it properly. And same goes with
the other tries. We tried everything but we think our method was wrong.
The plastic turned black and unrecognizable. It melted to much that it
shrinked into a shell-shaped steel-like figure.

Research Gap
• Plastic Bottle
-Plastic bottles contain Bisphenol A (BPA), the chemical used to make the plastic hard and
clear. BPA is an endocrine disruptor which has been proven to be hazardous to human health.
It has been strongly linked to a host of health problems including certain types of cancer,
neurological difficulties, early puberty in girls, reduced fertility in women, premature labour,
and defects in newborn babies – to name a few examples.

Research Gap
• The world is producing too much plastic
• The Guardian states that a mind-boggling one million plastic bottles are bought around
the world every minute and the number will jump another 20% by 2021. Several high-
profile campaigns are trying to flag the issues to consumers and change their habits.
Sky’s Ocean Rescue campaign is looking at ways the Sky organisation can help tackle
this growing problem, committing to remove all single-use plastics from their offices,
including plastic bottles, plastic cups and straws.
