OF MADHYA PRADESH. • BHARAT BHAVAN IS A CENTER FOR INNOVATIVE CREATIVITY, PURSUIT OF CLASSICS AND TRADITION AND WIDE PARTICIPATION IN A NEW CULTURAL UPSURGE. • ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE NATIONAL INSTITUTES IN INDIA, BHARAT BHAVAN IS A CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING AND VISUAL ARTS. CIRCULATION • FREE FLOW CIRCULATION WAS PROVIDED TO AVOID ACCUMULATION AT A CERTAIN POINT. • NO SUCH PATTERN OR WAY DEFINED TO KEEP PEOPLE MOVING IN ACERTAIN PATTERN. • OPEN TO SKY COURTYARDS WERE PROVIDED TO KEEP ALSO PEOPLE INVOLVED IN OUTER PART OF THE BUILDING. • OPEN AIR AMPHITHEATRE WAS ALSO MADE TO UTILISE THE NATURAL VIEW OF ADJACENT LAKE. BUILDING MATERIAL • RED SAND STONE WAS USED ON THE OUTER FAÇADE OF THE BUILDING. • FLEMISH BOND BRICK. • R.C.C. SHELLS WERE USED MASONRY THE AUDITORIUM. • ASHLARS STONE MASONRY WAS USED ON THE OUTER FAÇADE. • BRICK SAND AND EXPOSED CONCRETE. • THE INTERNAL FINISH IS OF MARBLE, GRANITE AND SAND STONE. LANDSCAPING • BEST PART ABOUT THE BHARAT BHAVAN WAS IT’S LANDSCAPING. • ROOF OF ALL THE BUILDINGS WERENCOVERD THROUGH GRASS MAKING THE VIEW BEAUTIFUL AS WELL AS KEEPING THE BUILDING COOLER. • OPEN TO SKY COURTYARDS WERE MADE TO MANAGE CROWD LAKE ADJACENT TO THE BHARAT BHAVAN WAS ALSO INCORPORATEDD INTO THE DESIGN. STRUCTURE • SITE OF THE BHARAT BHAVAN IS LOCATED ON THE SMALL REGION • RETAINING WALL WERE MADE TO AVOID THE LANDSLIDE • COFFERED SLABS WERE MADE TO AVOIDE THE COLUMNS • OUTER FAÇADE STONE WALL WERE 380MM WIDE • SLOPES WERE FOR EASAY PASSAGE FOR HANDICAPPED • FLOWER BEDS WERE MADE ON THE ROOFS OF THE BUILDINGS • VISITOR ENTER AT THE HIGHEST LEVE; AND WALK DOWN TO A PEDESTRAIN SPINE FLANKED BY PATTERN OF COURTYARDS • EACH OF THE PARTS OF THE BUILDING IS DISTINET YET FLOW EASILY ONE ANOTHER • INNER WALLS WERE 340MM WIDE PLASTERED ON BOTH OF THE SIDES • IDEAL VIEW FOR THE CULTURAL PERFORMANCE • THE PROPORTIONS OF THE BUILDING ARE WELL ORDERED, BORROWING GEOMETRIC PATTERNS FROM INDIAN CULTURES MAKIG IT MORE RELEVANT TO CONTEXT. • EACH CURVE LAND SPACE DEFINES ITSELF. EACH OF THE PART OF THE BUILDING IS DISTINCT YET FLOWS EASILY ONE ANOTHER, LINKED BY MEANDERING PATH • THE LANDSCAPE OF THE BHARAT BHAVAN IS THE BUILT FROM IT SELF THAT GENTLY TERMINATES AT THE LAKE FRONT FORMING INTO AN AMPHITHEATER WITH THE CITY SCAPE IT SELF FOR A BACK DROP REFLECTING IN THE SHIMMERING WATER OF THE LAKE • SPILL OUT SPACE WITH EVERY INDOOR SPACE CREATES A CONDUCTIVE ATMOSPHERE FOR CULTURAL ACTIVITY • THE KUND LIKE ELEMENTS WITH PAVILION FOR MUSIC CLASSES AND PERFORMANCE IS ENCHANTING AND MESMERIZING • ELEMENTS SERIES OF TERRACED GARDENS, WHICH WOLD BE SEEN CASCADING DOWN TO THE LAKE • LEVELS – THE VISITORS ENTER AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL AND WALK DOWN A PEDESTRIAN SPIN, FLANKED BY A PATTERN OF COURTYARDS, TO REACH THE VARIOUS PART OF THE COMPLEX • THE TERRACES AND COURTYARDS REFLECT CARREA’S CONCERN WITH PROGRESSION THROUGH SPACE- THE MAZE OR PUZZLE- WHERE PART AND THE COMPLEX OF INTERNAL STREET ACT RATHER LIKE A VILLAGE LAYOUT • IT CAN ALSO BE CALLED AS A NON BUILDING WHICH CORRESPONDS TO THE CONTEXT IN A VERY POSITIVE WAY THANK YOU !!!!!!!
