Deiner: Mr. Adán, what's the problem with your corn?
Adán: Well, my plants are dying, even though I gave them plenty of water and fertilizer
Deiner: When did you notice the problem?
Adán: Three weeks ago. First, I noticed the tops of some of the plants were browning.
Deiner: What happened next? Any stunted growth?
Adán: Not that. Next, they just started to wilt slightly. Thats when I gave them extra water.
Deiner: After that did you notice any changes?
Adán: Yes, the next thing I know is that they were dying.
Deiner: Did you any changes in the color of the plants?
Adán: Yes. The dead plants looked black near their roots.
Deiner: And the plants that are still alive?
Adán: Some of them are turning black near the roots.
Deiner: I'm going to take samples to the lab.
