GADGETS AND THEIR USE

Think of the gear you can’t live without: The

smartphone you constantly check. The camera
that goes with you on every vacation. The TV
that serves as a portal to binge-watching and -
gaming. Each owes its influence to one model
that changed the course of technology for good.
MOBİLE PHONE
A mobile phone is a wireless handheld device that
allows users to make and receive calls. While the
earliest generation of mobile phones could only make
and receive calls, today’s mobile phones do a lot more,
accommodating web browsers, games, cameras, video
players and navigational systems.
COMPUTER
A computer is an electronic device that manipulates information, or data. It has the ability to store, retrieve,
and process data. You may already know that you can use a computer to type documents, send email, play
games, and browse the Web. You can also use it to edit or create spreadsheets, presentations, and even videos.
CAMERA
camera, in photography, device for recording an
image of an object on a light-sensitive surface; it
is essentially a light-tight box with an aperture
to admit light focused onto a sensitized film or
plate.
PRINTER
combination of all three. Particular printers are available for printing
particular data typesA printer is basically an output device which prints a hard
copy of the electronic data that is stored in the computer or any other devices.
The electronic data may include documents, text, images or even the .
FLASHCARDS
Traditional use of flashcards is for memorization only. It is
important to use the flashcards multiple times. Just like the first
time you review any relatively new information, the first time you
use the flashcards may be a bit overwhelming or frustrating
because of the “forgetting” that has occurred. Here’s the good
news: with repetition, you will remember more and more,
therefore forgetting less and less. The “forgetting curve” levels
out, and the learning becomes “durable”. (Essentially, this means
you will remember the information long term!)
MP3 PLAYER
An MP3 player is a portable audio device people can use to listen to songs saved in
the MP3 format. They can use USB cords or Wi-Fi to connect the device to computers,
so that computer files can be transferred to players internal memory.
DRONE
Nonmilitary drone use has increased over the
past decade. Beyond surveillance and delivery
applications, UAVs are used for
drone journalism, search and rescue, disaster
response, asset protection, wildlife monitoring,
firefighting, communications relay, healthcare
and agriculture.
TELEVISION
Television is one of our world’s most important means of communication.  It shows us information
programs, like the news, documentaries, and sports events. We can watch films, listen to interviews and
hear the sounds of events that happen far away. Television teaches us about countries and cultures and we
can enjoy entertainment, like series, comedies, game shows or sitcoms.

A television set can be used for other things as well. You can record shows and films for later viewing, play
video games, watch DVDs, or even browse the Internet.
