- "El tenor de los Mares Indicos" appeared in El Comercio in 1895


- Compositions entitled "Los martires anonimos de la patria," "Al Yankee,"
and “Rizal” in 1899
- “Mi raza” won a prize from the Club Internacional
- "A Emilio Jacinto" won a contest for such a hero in 1914
- "Sobre el pinto" was the origin of Apolinario Mabini's nickname
"Dakilang Lumpo"
- Translated Andres Bonifacio's Decalogue in French and the epic Lam-
ang in Spanish
- His poems were collected in the book Pentelicas which was released in
the 1940s

third prizes wife, Dolores Rodriguez

in 1913

- In 1924, he won the Premio Zobel award when he translated the work La
Pugna

- Won again in the said contest in 1926 because of his translation of the
Rubaiyat

- "King of Balagtasan in the Spanish language" in 1927

- He collected his own poems in Cantos del Tropico (1929)

- He was awarded the award El Yugo y las Flechas in 1940 and this was
followed by the award Orden de Isabela la Catolica in 1953

- Translated the writings of Marcelo H. Del Pilar into Tagalog
