 Statements

Statement : A statement is a sentence which is complete in itself and

communicates its complete sense. e.g. There was a brown crow.

Mathematical Statements: Scientific Statement : A given

 Truth value of a statement :
 The truth (T)or falsity (F) of any
statement is called its truth value.
e.g. Every mathematical statement
is either true or false . Truth value
of a true statement is (T), and that
of a false statement is (F).

 In Binary logic one can use 1 & 0

for true(T) and false (F) respectively.

e.g. (i) x2 + 3x + 2 = 0 implies that
