Dry the baby.

 Clamp the umbilical cord after pulsations stop at around 1-3 minutes.
 Encourage breastfeeding.
 Do not separate the baby from the mother for at least 90 minutes unless in
respiratory distress or maternal emergency.
 Do eye care, cord care.
 Postpone bathing until after newborn is at least 6 hours of age.
