Objective
• Identify PRONOUN and mention some exercise about it.
• Conditions and uses of it.
Introduction
Pronouns are words, such as he, she, or it, that take the place of
nouns.
They come as a subject or object, and that they agree with the
noun it is replacing
• Before the verb and is called subject.
• After the verb and is called object.
• After a preposition and it is the object to the preposition and
its phrase work as an adverb

Subject pronoun is used as the subject of a verb. An object pronoun can be


used as the object of a verb or the object of a preposition .
Eg:

A possessive adjective describes a noun.


A possessive pronoun takes the place of a noun.

FOR AGREEMENT

• 1. Be sure that every pronoun and possessive agrees with the
noun it refers to.

• 2. You generally check back in the sentence for agreement.


• Always check what comes after the pronoun.
• If there is a NOUN, use POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES!
(my, your, our, his, her, their, its).
• If there is NO NOUN after the space, check the position of the
pronoun: (after or before the verb, or after a preposition):
• If the pronouns before the verb, use a SUBJECT PRONOUN. (I, you,
we, they, he, she, it)
• If the pronoun is after the verb or after a preposition no matter where
the preposition is, use an OBJECT PRONOUN. (me, you, him, her,
us, them, it)
