Describing Your Morning Routine

My morning routine

It is easy for me to get ready for the day. I get up at 3:30 A.M. I clean up my body. I take ablution before I
start my “Tahajjud”. I put on my prayer clothes. Then, I set my prayer rug on the right praying direction.
Once, I finish with the praying. I read Al-Quran, while waiting for the call to dawn prayer. After that, I do
morning exercise to keep my body fresh. I walk around the neighborhood for 30 minutes. Then, I go back
home to take a shower. I pack my school stuffs in my school bag. I leave my house for campus at 6:30. My
first class starts at 7:00 to 8:40. After class, I am very hungry. I go to cafeteria for breakfast. That is my
morning routine.

I do many things to get ready for the day. First, I get up at 4:15 A.M. Then I wake up my children and wife
to pray Subh together at a Mosque. I do morning exercises after I pray. I take a shower around 5:30. Then,
I get dressed and pack my stuffs. I help my wife to take care of children before they go to school. We have
breakfast together at 6:00. I ride my children for school at 6:30. After that, I drive my wife to the bus station
for office. Finally, I go to campus for my morning class at 8:40. That is my busy morning routine.

Subject Pronoun

In the early part of this book, you learned about nouns. Remember, a noun is a word for a person, place,
thing, or idea. Pronouns can take the place of nouns. A subject pronoun can be the subject of a sentence.

3. Use they to refer to people or things. The kids are small. They are two years old.

The simple present of Be

The words am, is and are are verbs. They are the simple present forms of the verb be. Be is the base form
of the verb.

Basic Sentences Patterns with Be

The verb be has many uses. Here are three ways to use be in sentences

I am eighteen years old

The verbs am, is, and are can be used with verbs ending in – ing:
Shhh! The baby is sleeping.
They are working today.
These sentences have present progressive verbs.
