Definition
Reversible process:

PENYEBAB
The process that after differential changes can retrace its original path
to reach at its original state is called reversible process
Reversible Entropy: DAMPAK
The second law of thermodynamics states that in a reversible process,
the entropy of the universe is PENANGGULANGA
constant, whereas in an irreversible
process, such as the transfer of heat from a hot object to a cold object,
the entropy of the universe increases. N
Equation and unit
Equation:

The final equation for entropy is ds=dQ/T

PENYEBAB
Unit:
DAMPAK
The SI unit for this is J/K
PENANGGULANGA
N
Important Point:
• The entropy is negative when heat leaves the system

• The entropy is positive when heat enters into the system

• Carnot cycle that consist of isotherms and adiabats

Clausius Theorem

Clausius theorem:
• The Clausius theorem states that the process will be
reversible if its bet change in entropy is zero. And if net
change is zero in entropy that process will be reversible.
• It will operate between two isotherm and adiabatic .
• The pre-final equation will be: ∆S= ∫dQ/T|B-A+0+ ∫dQ/T|
D-C+0 .
Graph
• The final equation will be: ∆S=Qʜ/Tʜ—Qʜ/Tʜ=0 .
• Hence Clausius theorem is proved
