    FESTIVALS OF QUITO - ECUADOR

    On December 6 of each year, Quito


    celebrates its foundation in the world-
    renowned Fiestas de Quito. This 2022, the
    beautiful city celebrates its 488 years in the
    midst of concerts, cultural activities, plays,
    parades and many traditions. What a way to
    celebrate!

    Merchants offer traditional dishes such as


    hornado, guinea pig, dry chicken, tortillas with
    chorizo, fritters, often, potatoes with leather,
    crabs, empanadas, among other delicacies.
    BARRANQUILLA CARNIVAL
    The Barranquilla Carnival, the most important folkloric
    and cultural festival in Colombia, brings together
    emblematic expressions of the memory and identity of
    the people of Barranquilla, the Colombian Caribbean
    and the Río Grande de La Magdalena.

    The recommended ones are pigeon peas sancocho,


    casabe, fried mojarra with patacones and coconut
    rice, stuffed potato, fish roe, butifarra, arepuelas,
    alegría, bun and cheese marriage, naughty banana
    and carimañolas. In drinks you can taste a guarapo or
    a delicious sideburn.
