 There are 2 types of artists (that are mentioned in this project):

 Artist = a person who creates paintings or drawings as a profession or hobby.

 MUSICAL artist = a person who writes and plays music as a profession or hobby.
 Musical artists can gather and create musical BANDS.
EDWARD HOPPER

 Edward Hopper was born in July 22nd

1882, in New York. He was the
painter of urban America at the
beginning of the 20th century.
 Edward Hopper managed to
sublimate the most innocuous
subjects. He preferred naturalistic
representations of contemporary
landscapes and upon his return to
the US, the artist began as a
commercial artist.
PHILIP EVERGOOD

 Philip Evergood was born in

October 26 1901 in New York. He
was an American painter,
sculptor, illustrator and writer. In
1923, Evergood went back to
New York where he studied at the
Art Students League of New York
for a year on WPA (Works
Progress projects from 1934
to1937 where he painted two
murals: The Story of Richmond
Hill and Cotton from Field to Mill.
CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL

 Creedence Clearwater Revival

was and American rock band
formed in California in 1972.
 Their best hits are one of the
most recognized rock songs of all
time including: “Have You Ever
Seen The Rain?”, “Fortunate Son”
and “Feelin’ Blue”
FOO FIGHTERS

 The Foo Fighters are an American

rock band formed in 1994 by Dave
Grohl in Seattle.
 The band is recognized by some of
their best hits which include:
“Everlong”, “My Hero” and “Learn To
Fly”

 Fun fact: Did you know Dave Grohl

was the drummer of Nirvana?
Although he was a drummer, in his
band he is the lead singer and rhythm
guitarist.
METALLICA

 Metallica is a heavy metal band

formed in 1981 in Los Angeles by
rhythm guitarist, James Hetfield and
drummer Lars Ulrich.

 One of their best hits consist of:

“Nothing Else Matters”, “Master Of
Puppets” and “One”.
TUPAC SHAKUR

 Tupac Shakur, or 2pac, was an

American rapper from the 90s. He is
also known as the best rapper of all
time.
 His popular songs are “California
Love”, “Only God Can Judge Me”
and “Until The End Of Time”.
50 CENT

 Jackson Curtis, AKA 50 Cent, is an

American Rapper who is known for
his popular hits in the early 2000’s.
 His best hits are: “In Da Club”,
“P.I.M.P” and “Candy Shop”
MICHAEL JACKSON

 Michael Jackson was born on

August 29th 1951, in Indiana. He
was often named “The King of Pop”
and he was an international
superstar. He had some unique
dance moves that crested
sensation and sloped future dance
styles.
 He is known for his very
recognizable hits like: “Billie Jean”,
“Thriller” and “Smooth Criminal”
