THE AMAZING
WORLD
OF SCIENCE
PRAYER
At the end of the lesson students
will be able to:

• Identify the parts and functions

of the compound microscope. Learning
• Label the parts of the compound
microscope.
Objectives
• Recognize the importance of a
compound microscope.
Activity 1
Let’s play detective and try to find an important tool
that is crucial to solve the case of Maria Dela Cruz.

Maria is having a diarrhea, cramps, nausea and

headaches.

What do you think is the illness just by looking at the

symptoms of Maria?
The doctor then asked for their water
sample at home to test it.

With the help of a tool, the doctor finds

out what causes the illness of Maria.

What tool could that be?

TEST RESULT:
The findings state that the water contains a
microbe (E.coli) that caused Maria to vomit
and have a diarrhea, cramps, nausea and
headaches.The presence of coliform
bacteria, specifically E. coli (a type of
coliform bacteria), in drinking water suggests
that the water may contain pathogens that
can cause diarrhea, cramps,headaches and
ACTIVITY 2
Procedure:

I’ll flash 4 pictures on the screen and

you need need to write the possible answer
in the illustration board.
At the count of 10, all boards should be raised.

• A tool which can help you see tiny objects
and living organisms that can’t be seen by
the naked eye

uses two or more lenses to magnify the
object.
A compound microscope has 3 major
parts according to its functions:
magnifying, illuminating and mechanical
parts.
Activity
Each group will be given an envelope
containing a situation of utilizing
microscope according to their job and you
must write a brief explanation on how the
microscope are used in their field of work
then you are to present your output in
front .
