DATING, COURTSHIP,
AND MARRIAGE
 Objectives:
• defines basic terms (dating, courtship and marriage)
• explain the importance of courtship, dating and choosing a
lifelong partner.(H8FH-11a-25) the effects
• recognize the different factors that contribute to a successful
marriage.
• make a plan on how to have a successful mariage and family
life.
 BASIC TERMS:
• DATING- is a social activity which involves two or more
people generally assessing each other's suitability for a
potential realtionship.
• types of dating
• a. Standard date- involve two people
• b. Double date- two couple go on a date at the same time
and place.
• c. group date- where any numbr of couples can enjoy a
date.
• COURTSHIP- is the period in a couple's realtionship
which precedes their engagement and marriage or it is an
establihment of an agreed relationship of a more enduring
kind.
• MARRIAGE-is the most enjoyable human relationship
and it is a lifelong partnership of a man and a woman.

Effects of Unplanned Marriage
 Group Activity
• divide the class into three group.
• G1- Talk- Show: Courtship Talk
• Pretent that you are in a talk show and answer the host's
question focusing on prception of courtship.
• G2- My Ideal Partner
• Draw your ideal man or woman and explain such
charateristics.
• G3- My PROPOSAL
• make your own recipe or ingredient of LOVE.
