The entrepreneur is defined as a person who organizes and manages a business and takes the risks in setting up a business venture. What is an Entrepreneur? Today, an entrepreneur is a person who identifies market opportunities and material resources to pursue prospects and profits. A computer system servicing practitioner who identifies business opportunity and undertakes projects by rendering his technical expertise in computer servicing is an entrepreneur. successful individual or entrepreneur? 1. Be achievement oriented. Think of what you really want to accomplish. When you aim for something, and want it done then it should be done well. Many successful professionals and entrepreneurs set standards in their business or activities to produce high-quality product or services. 2. Have self-confidence. For you to become good at the things you are doing, think that you can do things better but also be realistic. Engage in activities which you can do better with an achievable realistic goal or objective. Example: Accept repair jobs with confidence that you can finish it on time and of quality 3. Be task oriented. Just like the successful professionals and business owners their objectives are on how things should be done, and not so much on who will do the task for them. They are more work-oriented, hardworking and they persevere to make things done better. Do not rely too much on people who works for you. For instance, when you do the computer repair jobs do not ask on someone to do it for you especially if your customers or clients are meticulous to the outcome of the services rendered. 4. Open to feedbacks. Successful practitioners/professionals and entrepreneurs welcomes feedbacks to know how they are doing with their work, whether it is well-done or poorly done. Being open to feed backing can result to a better client or customer relationship. 5. Be creative. Being creative is about seeing things in a different prospective or thinking beyond what others can see. As a would-be computer system servicing practitioner, you can become successful if you will look for creative opportunity other than rendering service. You may think of any other things to offer for your clients or customers. Perhaps you may offer some things to sell like computer paraphernalia, computer parts, computer supplies, etc. 6. Reasonable risk taker- In any endeavor there is a risk to take, but as a would-be entrepreneur and computer systems servicing practitioner. You must consider the “calculated risks” meaning you should not engage in activities that you do not know or that you are not familiar. For instance, when you diagnose computers focus first with the problem found and work on possible remedy or repair. Do not complicate the risk when diagnosing and troubleshooting computer problems. 7. Accept full responsibility for actions and decisions. Just like a successful professional and entrepreneur, you must choose to make your own decisions and bear the consequences brought by your own judgement. If you will fail, you only blame yourself, but if your decisions and judgement will become successful, enjoy all the glory that goes with your good decisions.
