Other Future Tenses

Future perfect
USE: actions that will be completed before some other point in the future.

FORM: will have + [past participle].

EXAMPLES:

The parade will have ended by the time Chester gets out of bed.

At eight o’clock I will have left.


Future Continuous
USE: indicates that something will occur in the future and continue for an expected length of time.

FORM: will + be + the root verb + -ing.

EXAMPLES:

Michael will be running a marathon this Saturday.

Eric will be competing against Michael in the race.

I will be watching Michael and Eric race.


Future Perfect Continuous

USE: describin g actions tha t will en d a t a point in the future

FORM: will + hav e + be en + v erb root + -ing


Examples:
In November, I will have been working at my company for three years.

At five o’clock, I will have been waiting for thirty minutes.

When I turn thirty, I will have been playing piano for twenty-one years.
