ABSTRACT

Wasting food is a common problem in our society. Food waste management is crucial since it can improve our environmental and

economic sustainability. The donator can create the account and whenever they are having wastage food they can login and search

for the nearby orphanages and slums where he/she has to deliver food .We have identified the use of mobile technology to reduce

food waste management and built an android or web application that allows individual user or restaurants to donate and share their

foods and leftovers with people in need. user’s details are maintained confidential because it maintains a separate account for each

user. This project is food redistribution is an enormously successful social innovation that tackles food waste and food poverty

.
OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT

The purpose of this development is to limit the wastage of food in all over world.
Many people tend to throw the leftover food at the end of the day even though the food is perfectly fine to be eaten, which means
that huge amounts of food are wasted The Smart garbage management is compatible mainly with concept of smart cities. The main
objectives of our proposed system are as follows:
 Monitoring the food wastage reduction management.
 Providing a smart technology for food wastage reduction system.
 Avoiding food wastage.
 Reducing human time and effort
 Resulting in healthy and waste ridden environment.
 The majority of the population today uses smart phones with active internet connection, which is the basic requirement for this
product to function properly.
 This project falls under the category of embedded systems and android applications
EXISTING SYSTEM

 Many people tend to throw the leftover food at the end of the day even though the food is perfectly fine to be eaten, which
means that huge amounts of food are wasted.
 While all that food is being wasted, some families can barely afford proper meals with their limited money.
 Therefore, we decided to create our application to link the public with the people, so instead of throwing the food, the
people will be able to pick it up from the restaurant at the end of the day.
 The admin collects foods from donator through their nearby agent then provide to nearest orphanages or poor people
 . After receiving the food from agent by admin and give alert message to that donator through this way we can reduce food
wastage problem .so, here agent is required for delivering the foods
DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM

1. User needs to gather the food related information through friends or through website.

2. It increases the human work and user could not easily identify the home details and order the food from that home
3. Though the home details provided by the food donor may vary by its location of home

4. User could not find the nearby location of home and food they required on time.
5. Agents are required for delivering the food

6. Needs more Time for receiving food by needy people.


7. Maintainance required for guiding agents.

8. Only Hotels and Restaurants will have access.


PROPOSED SYSTEM

 Mobile application technology is beneficial for food waste management.


 Our proposed solution should reduce food wastage by facilitating food sharing in India community using mobile
technology.
 This work is an initial step towards designing a better system to reduce daily food waste.
ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM

1. Extending our app to have many types of donating users either from organizations such as restaurants, or a family or a
single user
2. Adding the location facility to our apps. The donating user should specify the location of the shared food.
3. Adding the time and date of each meal shared by users.

CONCLUSION

• Our study has investigated the problem of food waste that has many serious side effects economically and socially.
• However, the wastage of the food can be prevented or at least decreased using political rules and technology.
• Mobile application technology is beneficial for food waste management. The app aims to encourage better food
management.
• Our proposed solution should reduce food wastage by facilitating food sharing in community using mobile technology.
• This work is an initial step towards designing a better system to reduce daily food waste.
FUTURE ENHANCEMENT

 In Future work, This application to develop a cross platforms like IOS, etc.
 In adding the more features of Food wastage management system to develop access with user’s flexibility.
 To authenticate the users based on the system users list which is maintained by the operating system
 To restrict the usage of all files by the users based on their privileges on the system
