ALBERT EINSTEIN

BY BAHAA ABDULKHALEK
BORN IN

• March 14, 1879

In Ulm, Germany
1884

• When he was about 5 years old albert saw a wonder ( A magnetic compass), the needles
swing impressed him, he wanted to know what was the invisible force behind it,
convinced that there was something deeply hidden
AS A TEENAGER ( STUDENT )

• Albert was very interested in math and science and he wanted to teach at a university
someday. But due to his test grades and his behavior at school, it was hard to get a job.

• Some say that he even failed his math tests.

1905

• He never gave up on his dream and developed a very convincing theory about gravity and
relativity. Many physicists were surprised with his work and the way he thinks.

• He wasn’t even a scientist/physcist back then.

EINSTEIN SPECIAL THEORY OF RELATIVITY

• He was walking down the streets of berlin when he saw the clock , he imagined himself
going at the speed of light and in his eyes the clock started moving very slowly until it
stopped.
• Space and time are transformed near the speed of light: distances appear to stretch, and
clock tick more slowly
HIS THEORY

• Einstein knew that this meant modifying gravity and going against Newton one of his
huge idols and one of the greatest physicist in human history.
• “Space and time are not absolute”- The universe we live in is not the one newton
discovered ( space time).
HIS IDEAS

Einstein was the one that came up with photons, he used the idea that light exists in tiny
particles. We live in a universe made up of tiny matter and energy.
His ideas and articles had the most shocking ideas the twentieth century had witnessed.
ATOMS

• Einstein actually published two papers.

• One: He invents a new method of counting and determining the size of the atoms or
molecules in a given space.
• Two: He explained the phenomenon of Brownian motion. The net result is a proof that
atoms actually exist , but still as a tissue at that time.
AND THEN

• After that in June of 1905, Einstein completes his theory about relativity which adds a
twist: special relativity sees light as particles and a continues field of waves.

• And ofcourse in 1905 he came up with his famous formula e=mc^2.

1907

• Einstein begins applying gravity to his special theory of relativity, and later on 1911 he
got a job as a Professor of physics at a German university.
1913-1915

• Einstein worked and completed his work on General theory of relativity, He challenged
the way the world thought about gravity – and Sir Isaac Newton himself by describing
gravity as the warping of space-time, not a force acting at a distance.
1919

• A solar eclipse proves Einstein right, and he becomes an overnight celebrity, An

experiment had confirmed that light rays from the sun were deflected by the gravity of
the sun in just the amount Einstein had predicted in his theory.
1921-1929

• Einstein was awarded the noble prize and he worked on a theory of unifying that ties
everything in the universe together.
1939

• Him and his wife Elsa escaped from the nazi’s in Germany and sailed to the US, during
the war he sent a letter to the president Franklin D. Roosevelt urging nuclear research and
warning him of Germany’s building an atomic bomb.
HIS CONTRIBUTIONS

• From 1905 to 1925, Einstein changed the peoples understanding and perspective towards
the world from the smallest organism to the whole universe.

• Now until this day his mark that he left on us is unforgettable and even his unsolved work
remains the ones that are tantalizing and compelling.
STRING

• Einstein continued till his dying days to figure out a single central theory that explains
everything in the universe, his work became known as STRING theory, which says that
everything in the universe is made up of strings of energy.
APRIL 18, 1955

• Albert Einstein was announced dead and the cause was Heart Failure .
