Travelogue

Writing

1. Introduction (2-4 paragraphs) - Quote, photographs,

catchy lines to start.
2. Body (4-5 paragraphs) People, tradition, culture, foods,
best place
3. Closure- (2-4 paragraphs) Do’s and Don’ts, advices you
can share with the readers when they visit.
A movie, book, or illustrated
lecture about the places visited and
experiences encountered by a
traveler.
Is a person’s account of a
journey to another country or
place. It can either be a
written report with many
factual details or a narrative
story about personal
impressions and experiences
supported by images.
Decide on the
purpose of your
travelogue.
While traveling,
take notes about
what you see, places
you visit, and
people you get
acquainted with.
Take as many
pictures as
possible.
When you
return home,
take time to
review your
recordings.
INTRODUCTION

A quote, photograph, postcard or a

catchy line should be used to introduce
the travelogue. It is this that sets the tone
for the travelogue and can win the
reader over or discourage them.
BODY

 Ideally the travelogue should be

in paragraphs, with each new
place/ experience talked about in a
different paragraph. Keep the
paragraphs crisp and ensure that
one paragraph flows into the
other.
CLOSURE

Traditionally travelogues ended with a promise to visit again,

lessons learned during the travel, emotions felt or the clichéd
'though the travel was fun, there's no place like home.' But
it's best to do something different, maybe end with:

* Praise for the residents of the area or city that you visited.
* Refer to something that happened during the journey.
