TEACHING?
Teaching is the specialized application of
knowledge, skills and attributes designed to
provide unique service to meet the educational
needs of the individual and of society. The choice of
learning activities whereby the goals of education
are realized in the school is the responsibility of the
teaching profession.

H.C. Morrison:  Teaching is an intimate contact between the more mature
personality and a less mature one.
Jackson: Teaching is a face to face encounters between two or more
persons, one of whom ( teacher) intends to effect certain changes in the
other participants ( students).
J B Hough and James K Duncan: Teaching is an activity with four phases, a
curriculum planning phase, an instructing phase, and an evaluating phase.
This definition presents the organizational aspect by which we can describe
and analyze the teaching process.

TEACHER?
A person who helps students to acquire knowledge,
competence or virtue. Those who are employed, as their
main role, to teach others in a formal education context,
such as at a school.

societies and can be described as “a professional
occupational group of education sector possessing
social, cultural, economical, scientific and
technological dimensions

on a certain field, teaching skills, didactics and some
certain personal characteristics that the profession
