PERSPECTIVES LEADS TO BETTER PROBLEM-SOLVING. WORKING IN
DIVERSE TEAMS OPENS DIALOGUE AND PROMOTES CREATIVITY. THE
VALUE OF DIVERSITY IS TRUE FOR OUR CULTURE, TOO
DIVERSITY TIME-MANAGEMENT

DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT IS AN ORGANIZATIONAL PROCESS USED


TO PROMOTE DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN THE WORKPLACE.
THIS PROCESS INVOLVES IMPLEMENTING POLICIES AND
STRATEGIES IN HIRING, MANAGEMENT, TRAINING, AND MORE. IS
A PROCESS OF CREATING A WORKING ENVIRONMENT THAT IS
BOTH DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE. IT VALUES WHAT EVERY
EMPLOYEE BRINGS TO THE TABLE AS UNIQUE SO THAT AN
ORGANIZATION CAN GROW AND SUCCEED ACCORDINGLY.

-IS ABOUT APPRECIATING THAT SOCIETY IS MADE UP OF MANY DIFFERENT GROUPS
WITH DIFFERENT INTERESTS, SKILLS, TALENTS AND. NEEDS. IT ALSO MEANS THAT
YOU RECOGNISE THAT PEOPLE IN SOCIETY CAN HAVE DIFFERING RELIGIOUS
BELIEFS AND SEXUAL ORIENTATIONS TO YOU.
TOLERANCE
CAN BE PERCEIVED POSITIVELY OR NEGATIVELY. HOWEVER, TO BE TOLERANT MEANS
THAT YOU ACCEPT OTHER PEOPLE'S OPINIONS AND PREFERENCES, EVEN WHEN THEY
LIVE IN A WAY THAT YOU DON'T AGREE WITH. TOLERANCE ALSO MEANS THAT YOU
DON'T PUT YOUR OPINIONS ABOVE THOSE OF OTHERS, EVEN WHEN YOU ARE SURE
THAT YOU ARE RIGHT.

SUMMARY OF THE REPORT

• WORKPLACE DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE MEANS THE ACCEPTANCE AND INCLUSION OF EMPLOYEES OF ALL
BACKGROUNDS. A DIVERSE WORKPLACE IS AN IMPORTANT ASSET, SINCE IT ACKNOWLEDGES THE INDIVIDUAL
STRENGTHS OF EACH EMPLOYEE AND THE POTENTIAL THEY BRING. VALUING THE DIFFERENCES OF OTHERS IS WHAT
ULTIMATELY BRINGS US ALL TOGETHER AND CAN BE THE SECRET TO A SUCCESSFUL, THRIVING WORKPLACE AND A
FAIR WORK CULTURE.
• WORKPLACE DIVERSITY MEANS RESPECTING AND VALUING THE SKILLS AND DIFFERENCES THAT EACH STAFF
MEMBER BRINGS INTO THE WORKSPACE. A DIVERSE WORKPLACE IS AN INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT THAT PROVIDES
EQUAL RIGHTS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL WORKERS, REGARDLESS OF GENDER, COLOUR, AGE, ETHNICITY,
PHYSICAL ABILITY, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RELIGIOUS BELIEFS, AND SO ON.
• A DIVERSE WORKFORCE IS MORE LIKELY TO UNDERSTAND YOUR CUSTOMERS' NEEDS AND COME UP WITH IDEAS TO
FULFILL THEM. DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE WILL ALSO INCREASE EMPLOYEE MORALE AND INSTILL A DESIRE TO
BE MORE EFFECTIVE AND WORK MORE EFFICIENTLY. THIS WILL GREATLY INCREASE THE PRODUCTIVITY OF YOUR
BUSINESS. RESPECTING INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES WILL BENEFIT THE WORKPLACE BY CREATING A COMPETITIVE
EDGE AND INCREASING WORK PRODUCTIVITY. DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT BENEFITS ASSOCIATES BY CREATING A
FAIR AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT WHERE EVERYONE HAS ACCESS TO OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES.
