■ When instruction is teacher centered, technology and media are
used to support the presentation of instruction.
■ For examples: penggunaan power point, electronic whiteboard,
dll.
STUDENT USE OF
TECHNOLOGY AND MEDIA
■ When instruction is student centered, the primary users of
technology and media are the students themselves.
■ Student centered activities allow teachers to spend more of
their time assessing and directing student learning, consulting
with individual students, and teaching one on one and in small
groups.
■ How much time the teacher can spend on such activities..
Peran guru sebagai:
• Fasilator
• Motivator
• Organisator
• Evaluator
• Actor/actress
• Indrawan: guru sbg fasilitor krn memberikan layanan pd peserta
didiknya
• Bagas: peserta didik dpt memberikan dua-duanya, fasilitator tp ada
kecendurungan guru menjadi techer center.
• Aisa: teknologi jadi motivasi krn menarik & bisa menambah gairah
belajar
• M. Yusuf: guru jadi organisator krn dpt mengarahkan murid dlm
pembelajarannya.

• Learning is the development of new knowledge, skills, or attitudes as
an individual interacts with information and the environment.
• Ada anak muda menggagas: “Kampung Lali Gadget” (di Sidoarjo)
• Model belajar: mengarah ke bentuk “navigasionism” krn murid lbh
banyak melakukan navigasi melalui perangkat pembelajarannya
(laptop & gadget, smart phone).
• Learners in the 21st century need to be better educated to assume
the challenges of continually evolving knowledge and skill
requirements for the future.
• By creating seamless access to the global community and opening
new avenues for addressing how and what to learn, technology and
media have become an essential interface for learners as they move
forward in their education.
• Students are entering the classroom with greater understanding of
worldwide issues.
• Many come into school speaking more than one language, and it is
predicted that by 2025 nearly half of all classrooms will have students
who do not speak English as their first language.
