ABSTRACT
•The proposed system uses QR Code for authenticating students with a unique QR
Code that represents their unique id. Every student is provided with a card that
contains the QR Code. They just have to scan their cards using QR Code reader
and the system notes down their attendance as per date and time.

•System then stores all the students attendance records and generates a brief
reports for admin as required in excel sheet. And this application allows the
Admin to search about a particular employee attendance details in excel sheet.
Such kind of application is very useful in organizations or corporations or
institutions for taking daily attendance.

•When the student scan this QR code, automatically attendance will be marked
according to the user id. It also discusses how the system verifies student identity
to eliminate false registrations.
OBJECTIVE
1. Attendance taking process leveraging QR code technology will save time,
reduce teacher workload and streamline the process of attendance
management. The purpose of Scandence is to make the traditional tedious
attendance taking process seamless.

2. Research has shown that regular attendance and academic achievement

are closely linked, and many universities find that monitoring student
attendance allows them to identify students who need support at an early
stage and put in place measures to help them continue their studies.
Although this process is very tiresome of done manually .

3. Using a student attendance management system with biometric software

ensures that only students and employees with valid biometric credentials
can access the school.
4. As they help them practice
proper time management and
prioritization, attendance checking
is a crucial practice that every
institution implements. Because of
that, the education sector is
encouraging the schools to get
creative with their attendance
checking routines.But as the use of
biometrics is can be expensive for
some schools, the use of QR code
attendance is a great technological
attendance checking tool that they
can employ to students and its
employees.
SCOPE of the Problem Statement
•EXISTING SYSTEM:

•In existing system have seen over the years that the process of
manual attendance has been carried out across almost all
educational institutions. The process is not only time
consuming but also sometimes inefficient resulting in the false
marking of attendance. Today, we need not maintain pen and
paper based attendance registers.

•Time consuming,Consumes large volume of paper work,Needs

manual calculations.
BUT WITH THE ADVANCEMENT IN THE TECHNOLOGIES THINGS LIKE THESE CAN BE
IMPROVISED

• A student attendance management system helps to track and store the

attendance data in real-time. Besides student and staff attendance, the system
also helps school admins in maintaining and tracking leaves applications, arrival &
departure times

• Automated attendance system will capture your students attendance using mobile
apps, desktop applications, biometric devices, facial recognition devices, etc. A
modern-day technology for student attendance will take care of both office
students as well as students working from home

• It is important to understand that an organization is always vulnerable to cost

when it comes to manual tasks.Problems like absenteeism, delay in overtime
payment, buddy punching, etc. can be eliminated by removing the manual
strategy. Modern-day technology for student attendance will make it impossible
for any student to tamper with the saved data resulting in an honest and cost-
effective workplace.

Summary : “QR Code Based Attendance System” is a combination of sites

generator android app using the details of student such as roll number,

specific subject and generate the student attendance sheet as per
attendance details.
Gap : The users must have android OS (v4.2+) in order to use this system and
there are many users who use smartphones which have OS other than
android (eg : iOS)

Hence, a new system was innovated applying simple mechanism which
consists of RFID data logger and data analysis using ASP.net. The system is
portable and quick to verify attendances within 5 minutes regardless size of
the class.

Gap :RFID are must for this system and failure RFID would result into
unmarked attendence.

• The project has a very vast scope in future. The project can be
implemented on intranet in future. Project can be updated in near
future as and when requirement for the same arises, as it is very
flexible in terms of expansion. With the proposed software of database
Space Manager ready and fully functional the client is now able to
manage and hence run the entire work in a much better, accurate and
error free manner. The following are the future scope for the project.

•  Individual Attendance system with photo using Student login
