*etiquette (n) /’etiket/: the formal rules of correct or polite manner in society

“..If you invite someone to lunch, the guest will assume that you will be paying for it.
■ If you invite someone to a business meal, it is your responsibility to call and make the reservations (=book the
dining table). It is also your responsibility to cancel the reservations if the meeting has to be canceled or
postponed.
■ Never order the most expensive item on the menu, even if you are the host.
■ Do not pull out business papers during the meal. Discuss business, if you must, after you have finished eating…”
