Value Analysis of Smartphone:
1. Battery: In old phones there use to be NiMH batteries which where very
big and heavy weight and also doesn't last long. But now in new
Smartphones the is lithium-poly icon, or Li-Poly battery which is more
compact and light weight and has 40% more power then NiMh batteries

2. Display: In old phones the displays where small and has buttons. So they
have addition cost for adding buttons component. But now there are full
touch screen display which make things easier and also reduced the cost.

3. 3.5mm jack: Before invention of Bluetooth headphones there use to be


3.5mm jack in phones but now due to Bluetooth headphones most of the
companies removed the 3.5mm jack and this effect the production cost in
positive way
4. SD card slot: Before there use to be 2sim slots and 1SD-card slot but now
due to E-Sim and Cloud Storage all the smartphone companies has upgraded
from triple sim tray to single sim tray which reduce the material cost.

5. Processer chip: Before there were Big processor chips which need big
storage of metal components. Now small processor chips in nanometers
requires less space in phones making them more compact.

6. Antennas: Before phones use to have external antenna bands which


increase the material cost. Now change in high technology there are many
inbuild antennas that are very small and this reduce more cost cutting and
compact size of mobiles.
