geared "To establish SARTHAK ADARSH Kendras (Skill Building & Early
Intervention Centers) across the Nation“ -MISSION

Sarthak is aimed towards carving an equal stature for persons with disability by providing them a platform
wherein, they have equal access to opportunities and resources.

SARTHAK ORIGIN AND HISTORY
• Sarthak Educational Trust was started in year 2008.
• In 2004 while practicing as a dentist, Dr. Jitender Aggarwal started losing his
vision due to Macular Degeneration of Retina, a non treatable concern. During
this period he realized the agony with which a PwD's goes through due to
constraints such as non inclusive environment and limited access to resources
and opportunities.
• With God’s grace and support from various relevant persons he first got
himself trained in screen readers and other software to manage and execute
his daily activities through Computers, and gradually started with skilling and
employment of visually impaired candidates in Medical Transcription in Delhi.

• Dr. M.B. Athreya is our mentor and Guru and we are privileged to
learn and grow under the aura of such a dignified personality. He has
been our constant source of inspiration and guidance.
• Padma Bhushan Dr. Mrityunjay Athreya is recognized as one of the
founders and pioneers of the Indian Management Movement,
including Education, Research and Consulting. He has made a
sustained contribution, over nearly five decades, on return from the
US, after obtaining his Doctorate in Business Administration at the
Harvard University. He has been honored with several awards,
including the Padma Bhushan, of the Government of India.

Association of India Excellence in Skilling
• NAAI stands for National Abilympic Association of India
• NAAI was formed in May 2001 in collaboration with Ministries of Social Justice
& Empowerment (MSJE) and Human Resource Development (HRD),
Government of India and organized the competitions in Delhi in 2003
• NAAI organizes vocational skill events for Persons with Disabilities at
Regional, National & International levels.
• In December 2016, SARTHAK EDUCATIONAL TRUST took over National
Abilympic Association of India.
• Till date 2 National and 8 Regional events are organized.
SARTHAK KNOWLEDGE BANK
Sarthak Knowledge Bank is the encyclopedia of all the knowledge of Sarthak Program and its
verticals to upscale the knowledge and understanding of new and existing Internal staff at all
levels.
• For Internal capacity Building Sarthak Knowledge Bank is designed to upscale the understanding
of employees at all levels.
• It includes standard operating Procedures, Practices and Guidelines for all Sarthak Services at a
