About Youth4Jobs
Youth4Jobs is South Asia’s largest organisation focussing on diversity & inclusion.
It skills less educated and educated youth with disabilities and places them in jobs
across the country. Youth enrolled are with locomotor, speech and hearing
impairment and with Visual impairment. Youth with Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual
Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder are given Customised market-linked trainings.
It also offers a comprehensive end-to-end solution for companies which want to be
inclusive, such as:

PROGRAM 1 - PROJECT PARIVARTAN (WISE)

WISE (Project Parivartan) is India’s largest Skill Training Program for PwDs. We
provide them with 21st century portable skills like English Communication, Soft
Skills, Life Skills, Digital Literacy and Orientation in industries with job
opportunities.

PROGRAM 3 – Y4J VISI N

This Project is targeted towards youth with visual impairment with a focus on
equipping them with skills needed to help them get eligible for Higher
Education, for appearing in Government Exams and helping them lead
independent lives. Youth4Jobs provides the training online and in our two
training centers located in Hyderabad and Delhi. The coaching for the Govt.
Exams is being scaled up currently.

What it does:
• Help youth with visual impairment to fulfil their aspirations for enrolling in
higher education by training them in English communication skills
• Enable them to learn computers using assistive technology (software) like
Jaws/NVDA - Digital literacy is the heart of the VI training
• Coaches them for government jobs by giving them holistic trainings in
English, computers, coding, maths & reasoning, and general knowledge.
• Counsel the youth to accept, adjust, cope and set goals for their
development
• Coach them for passing their 10th and 12th grade examinations. Held twice
a year as Open School Exams
• Sensitise companies by having interactions/mentorship/volunteer program
with VI youth

PROGRAM 4 - CORPORATE CONNECT

It supports WISE and College Connect by reaching out to companies actively to


help them begin or strengthen their journey of inclusion.

This program predominantly works to create awareness and build an inclusive


corporate world. Youth4Jobs works closely with 650+ companies of which 200
are first time hirers of disability. The mantra is “Hire youth with disability
because it makes business sense”. Once the company experiences the benefit of
hiring, inclusion gets mainstreamed within the organization.

Meera Shenoy has over a decade experience in market- linked vocational


OUR FOUNDER skilling of rural, tribal and disabled youth from underprivileged families. She
is considered a pioneer in the country in this field and uniquely works on
policy and grassroot projects.
She has demonstrated for the country twice, a model for skilling rural youth
from villages and now youth with disabilities, and linking them to quality
jobs.
She has had two stints with the Government in senior positions. She was
Executive Director of EGMM, the country’s first job mission for rural and
Meera Shenoy tribal youth, which she helped set up from scratch in 2004. Her next
position was to support the Office of the Chairman, NSDA.

This mission formed the template of Government of India Skilling Programme for Rural Youth. She
has also consulted with the World Bank across South Asia and was senior advisor UNDP for skilling
and unemployment.

She is on the Governing Council of SCPwD (Sector council for Persons with disabilities) and the CII
Committee on Special Abilities. She was one of the few Indians to be invited to speak at the
prestigious TEDxBerkeley (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cp7JfZDJPWo)

Not Just Art is a digital platform created to support visual artists with
disabilities in India and promote their work to a global audience of art
lovers, collectors, museums, and galleries. We showcase their talents and
bring them into the mainstream art world, creating an inclusive global art
community.

We also introduce the benefits of art to children and youth with


disabilities through art workshops held in schools and community centers.
